Early Morning Thoughts

The LORD took hold of me, and I was carried away by the Spirit of the LORD to a valley filled with bones. He led me all around among the bones that covered the valley floor. They were scattered everywhere across the ground and were completely dried out. Then he asked me, “Son of man, can these bones become living people again?” “O Sovereign LORD,” I replied, “You alone know the answer to that.”
Ezekiel 37:1-3 NLT

Prophetic insight:
The American Church has found a very uncomfortably dry position on the valley floor. Every word of these three verses have insight into our situation. “Scattered across the valley floor” in particular speaks of our pride in denomination, beliefs, and values that ultimately separates us from one another and often times, God. We become so focused on how we do things and who we are that we forget why we are here in the first place.

Valley full of life and not death

When God asks a question, He already knows the answer. It’s the response of the prophets who are called that is key.

God must send a spirit of Ezekiel who is obedient to God and His word, willing and useful vessels answering the call.
Only God alone knows if we will once again stand as a mighty army against the rulers of iniquity…
We can’t do it alone… It takes all of us standing shoulder to shoulder…

He is the answer to His question…

**This is not a post about failure powered by a mean spirit. Truly about feeling the weight of the position of the church and re-aligning my spirit with the Spirit and heart of the Father.
