Quick to Hear

“…for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.” James 1:20
Be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger. We get it backwards today, I know I do.  We hear what we want to hear, or argue what we thought we heard. If we would take the time to listen, and reason within ourselves, we wouldn’t get so offended and quickly angered at one another.

To allow the word to be planted in us, saving our souls, we have to put away all the filthiness and wickedness brought on by our quick tempered and impatient personas.

Humility is the epicenter, or the eye of the storm.  It’s not enough to have it, we have to use it.

We not only have to hear the word, but be doers of the word.

Approach life with quick ears, humble hearts, and quiet words.
