Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; cling to what is good. Romans 12:9
The world is full of hypocrites. The church also.
Clearly this passage separates good and evil, right and wrong, light and darkness with five simple words: Let love be without hypocrisy.
Often times, we tend to compartmentalize our love according to who we are and to whom we associate with. If we belong to a certain group or denomination, they get our love, but others not so much. We love our Christian neighbours as we love ourselves, but there’s no room for those outside our sphere of influence.
This is hypocrisy.
Our love can longer be preserved for only those who we deem worthy of our time and attention.
God doesn’t do this with us, right? Why should we?
Let love be without hypocrisy, hate evil, glue yourself to good and to God.
