Palm Sunday

Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion!
Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem!
Behold, your king is coming to you;
righteous and having salvation is he,
humble and mounted on a donkey,
on a colt, the foal of a donkey.  Zechariah 9:9

Palm Sunday. We don’t have Palm branches but we do have the palms of our hands to lift towards heaven and eagerly await His return.

The triumphal entry found in John’s gospel (John 12:15) parallels with Zechariah’s prophecy. If you read down a few more verses in Zechariah, you’ll see that He who rides on the colt comes and takes away the emblems of war and brings peace.
This, in my opinion, speaks of the second coming, and the millennial rain of Christ here on earth for a thousand years.
His first triumphant entry was through the birth canal of a virgin, born of the Holy Spirit in peace through humanity. His second will be through the birth canal of eternal salvation, sent from Heaven, to conquer and be victorious with all righteousness.

Everything you’ve ever known, thought about, or dreamed of doing for the kingdom, was birthed in heaven first. (“…on earth as it is in heaven”. Lord’s Prayer)

As we enter the season of the Passion, the Passover, and the Resurrection, I would encourage you to focus on spreading the message of hope. The times we live in, and the people all around us are currently being violated with an “anti-Christ” culture that puts hope in self and not of a Saviour. People need to know Jesus. You may be the last person they hear that speaks hope to them. Use your testimony to bring hope, to show them Jesus.
